Glaze Techniques Workshops:

• Learn to pour, brush and trail multiple layers of glazes for an endless variety of colors, designs and effects.
• Learn to apply glaze slips for emphasis and highlight.

In this glaze techniques workshop, I share methods developed during my more than twenty-five-year search for unusual, painterly glaze effects. While my personal experience is with high fire and the workshop uses cone 10 glazes, the methods I teach can be adapted to any temperature, oxidation or reduction, and with any clay body. The ultimate results are limited only by each potters imagination and sense of adventure.

Participants are encouraged to take to the workshop at least three pieces of bisqued pottery made from cone 10 clay, porcelain or white clay is recommended. Wide, flat shapes work best with the techniques I teach.

Generally I charge $85 for a three hour private workshop.
